SOOOO cute

Has anyone seen this? My Sweet Savannah featured the amazing Dana from House Tweaking on her blog a couple days ago for her gorgeous headboard. I LOVE it, especially since I'm working on a room with those exact colors in it right now. Head over to her blog to see the tutorial!


I used her headboard as inspiration for my Valentines mantle. My husband made me a box a couple years ago out of an old pallet for the garage and I swiped the lid and painted the word love on it in red. I'm not sure if he'll want it back come March, but I don't think I'll give it up. Then I took some other red things from around my house and stuck them up there. The pennant banner is from scrapbook paper glued on to some binding.

    I love that pallet love sign (and the inspiration headboard). I'm going to add this post to my inspiration page where I keep ideas I may want to try someday. I used books on my Valentine's Day mantel as well.

    I like your style! I like shopping in the "garage" too - but really your hubby gave YOU the box so you can do what you want with it. I'm sure it looks better on your mantel anyway. Looks fabulous!! Thanks for the inspiration.

    You know how almost all linky parties have a request that you post a link back showing where you linked it? I finally got called out for not ever ever doing that. I just hate to muddy up my posts with all this "I linked to these parties" business, but I love link parties. I knew it was only a matter of time before someone called me out on it. So I posted a page at the top of my blog called link parties and put all the links that I regularly participate in on the page. Do you think that will cut it?

    Love your mantel and your bedroom...that was an incredible idea...boards...paint...cute...cute cute. AND YOUR PILLOW IS AWESOME!!
