Paysen's room inspiration

I've been combing through my favorite files looking for ideas for our new house. I am in love with this play room from Restoration Hardware. I think the colors and paneling on the wall will be perfect for my daughter Paysen's room.

What do you guys think? I'm thinking about painting her bed a cool pewter/gray rubbed with black. This is what it looks like now.

This is what I want it to look like.

What do you guys think? Should I do it?

  1. I love restoration hardware. I could just stare at their magazine pages for hours.....Anyways, I love the look of your daughters room. LOVE the chandelier. I think the bed frame would look great with the pewter/gray color! Do it :)

  2. I have used rustoleum hammered metal finish to spray paint an antique iron bed before and the results were amazing. It has held up really well.

  3. Are you going to sandblast it first?

  5. I've never commented, and I'm kinda new to your blog. But I love this sweet little house you've created. I'm also pretty excited to see what you do with your new blank canvas! :) I noticed the metal hammered letters in the playroom. I just made some of these with the pressboard letters from the craft store, charcoal paint and pearl dry brushed over the top. Here's the tutorial I used:
